Born 1976 in Plymouth, started playing
the piano and studying music at the age of three, from the
age of eight Lee studied classical music with among others
Philip Buttal. Before turning professional in1991 Lee worked
in many different semi and professional bands. After gaining
grade eight and music A level, he enrolled at Leeds College
of Music studying BA (Hon’s) in Jazz Studies and Recording
techniques for three years, with teachers including Nikki
Iles and Dave Smith. |

Before and during college, lee was playing piano on major
theatre tours of Cats, Grease, LesMiserable, Oliver, and Me
and My Girl. After college Lee worked on Boogie Nights and
Shane Richie’s tour with musical director Rick Taylor,
writing and working on projects including singles, albums
and film work including Shoreditch starring Joley Richardson.
After touring the country and working internationally Lee
set-up Aside Studios in Outwood in 2000, after designing and
building it himself. Always actively involved in recording
and studio work it seemed to be the obvious choice. Now writing,
composing and producing for a wide range of artists and musical
styles, Aside is confident that it can meet the requirements
that today’s music demands. |
